Fiorentina, a Champions name for the midfield
Also on the notebook of the purple leadership is Lo Celso
A star player in Europe for a team re-entering the cups after a few years of absence: this is the logic behind the interest, initially reported by ‘La Nazione’, by Fiorentina for Giovani Lo Celso, a midfielder owned by Tottenham who ended up on loan at Villarreal in the second half of last season.
With the Yellow Submarine, Lo Celso was among the protagonists of the Champions League ride that took the Spanish team all the way to the semifinals, later lost to Liverpool. Class of 1996, Lo Celso had gone to Villarreal because at Tottenham he had lost several positions in Antonio Conte’s hierarchies, ending up on the fringes of the project. Fiorentina could convince the Argentine player (who has an Italian passport, which is useful for EU membership) to try the experience in Italy and boost the same European ambitions of a club that will play in the Conference League next season.
