NBA, Kyrie Irving is clear about his future
NBA champion with Cavs looks set to stay in Brooklyn
There is a lot of talk these days about Irving’s future. Coming off a complicated season (partly due to his choice not to vaccinate), the All Star, as reported by The Athletic, seems determined to exercise his $36.5 million player option with the Brooklyn Nets.
De factoi, no extension with the Nets but no goodbye either. He will stay for one more year, in part because the Los Angeles Lakers, James’ franchise, has not stepped up. So, Irving has made his choice, which is to continue with the Nets: “I’ve made my choice. See you in the fall,” his words reported by The Athletic. Mind you, the Nets may still decide to trade him, even if he exercises (as it seems) his player option.
