Rafa Nadal cyclone hits Lorenzo Sonego
6-1 6-2 6-4 the score in favor of the Iberian.
Called upon to face a living legend like Rafa Nadal on the grass of Wimbledon, Lorenzo Sonego could not hold his own, bowing out in three sets and managing to scrape together only seven games.
The difference between the two was too obvious, also helped by a not particularly happy day for the Italian tennis player, who ran into a series of unforced errors: it was inevitable to pay the price in front of an old fox like the Spaniard.
The first two sets were gone in no time, with Sonego overwhelmed by Nadal’s fury: four breaks in the first two partials in favor of the Iberian, who did not even concede a break ball to the Italian.
In the third set another break by Rafa came immediately in the opening, with Sonego, however, staying in the match by even breaking the Spaniard at zero service in the eighth game. Immediate, however, was Rafa’s reaction, who placed the counter-break and then closed 6-4 on his own serve in the third set.
