The words of Alexander Zverev

Alexander Zverev reached his fourth consecutive semifinal at Roland Garros, thanks to a three-set victory over Australian Alex De Minaur. However, the German has never managed to reach the last act of the Paris Slam. To break this tab, Sascha will have to beat Norwegian Casper Ruud, who beat him in the very semifinals in the last edition of Roland Garros.

"I am again in the semifinals here, that makes me very satisfied,” Zverev stressed in the press conference. Certainly I want to win, I want to get to the final. That è my only goal. But I think from today’s level, è it was a good match for me. Yes, I am happy to be where I am".

"I think it was definitely important for me to win that set, for sure,‖ added the world No. 4. -Also physically speaking. I felt good. I felt like 'okay, I can do five sets again'. But I also know that it è better not to do them. È important to have maximum energy for the semifinals".

"Yes, a great player. Two finals in a row, third semifinal in a row, that speaks for itself. He’ one of the best players on this surface. I think I have to play my best tennis to get an’opportunity"” he commented on Casper Ruud.
