Frightening images from the British circuit
It started with a big scare in the F1 British Grand Prix at Silverstone: after a few corners, in fact, the race officials had to wave the red flag for a bad accident that, among other things, caused the Alfa Romeo driven by Guanyu Zhou to overturn.
The Chinese man’s car, as shown in replay images, even went over the trackside protections, coming within a stone’s throw of the grandstands, which were protected by the retaining net. Zhou, according to FIA reports, is reportedly conscious. As a precaution, he is taken to the medical center along with another of the drivers involved in the accident, Wiliams’ Alexander Albon.
In addition to Zhou and Albon, George Russell from Mercedes and Yuki Tsunoda from AlphaTauri also suffered consequences, only in terms of damage to their respective cars.
