Jannik Sinner’s coach Simone Vagnozzi to Gazzetta dello Sport highlighted the Italian’s progress, which was evident during the match against Carlos Alcaraz: “Jannik is adapting better and better to grass, and then the more the courts wear out, the easier 1 his movements become. I am very happy with his game.”

“It was a very complicated test, also from a physical point of view, and he passed it great,” continued Vagnozzi. “I think right now his serve is his biggest weapon and after all, both with Isner and Carlos, he never lost his serve. He is more-continuous with the first, but I like to emphasize the progress with the second: now he can vary his trajectories more and play it with adequate speed.”

Now there is Novak Djokovic: “The preparation? Physiotherapy, training in the afternoon, some rest and more physiotherapy, before dinner all together: Jannik is on a specific diet, the only thing that costs him is not being able to eat sweets: but after such a success I think I’ll give him a break. Cahill. We are very symbiotic as far as Jannik’s path is concerned, we see it the same way.”
