Sinner gets applause, but passes Nole

He dreamed of a feat for more than two sets as Jannik Sinner came close to the impossible against Novak Djokovic in the quarterfinals of the Wimbledon tournament: ahead two sets to zero, the South Tyrolean, however, was unable to contain the comeback of the Serbian champion, who was able to close 5-7, 2-6, 6-3, 6-2, 6-2 in three hours and thirty-five minutes.

Sinner managed to win the applause of the crowd present at Wimbledon, first with a brilliant comeback in the first set and then by showing his muscles in the second. From there on, however, Nole recomposed himself at the level of play and mental presence in the match, leaving little room for the albeit courageous Italian athlete, who was also the victim of an ankle injury in the final of the fourth set.

For Sinner, therefore, the experience at Wimbledon 2022 comes to an end: a brilliant adventure, closed only in front of one of the strongest tennis players in history.
