Umana Reyer announced the agreement with athlete Matteo Chillo, 203 cm wing/center, born in Bologna on June 15, 1993, coming from Treviso, with whose jersey he played in the last season 26 league games (4,7 points and 2.9 rebounds average, shooting 54.2% from 2 and 40% from 3), 17 plus 3 qualifying in Basketball Champions League (5.1 points and 2.5 rebounds, 53.1% from 2 and 50% from 3) and 5 in Italian SuperCoppa (7.8 points and 2.2 rebounds).

Chillo trained in Fortitudo Bologna, making his first team debut, however, in the 2012/13 season with Imola in A2. After two years in Biella (in the first the victory in the Coppa Italia DNA, in the second the participation in the EuroChallenge), one in Treviglio and one in Rieti, the return to Fortitudo, again in A2, in the 2017/18 season. From 2018 he played, for 4 seasons, in Treviso, winning promotion to Serie A and the Italian Cup the first year and then playing three championships in the top league (78 appearances overall).

In the Azzurri jersey, he won gold at the European Under-20 Championships in Tallinn in 2013 and bronze at the Youth Olympic Games 3×3 in Italy in 2011.

The class of ’93 told about his first emotions in joining the Orogranata club: “I am very honored to have received the call from one of the most ambitious clubs in our league, which I thank for the opportunity.
