Pilot re-embraces Cepic

Allianz Pazienza Cestistica Città di San Severo has announced its second acquisition of the summer market: Janko Cepic.

A Montenegrin by birth, a class of 1999 pivot of 204 cm and 96 kg, he grew up in the youth sector of KK Primorje, before transferring in 2015 to Mens Sana Siena to play youth excellence in Italy until 2019 (thus eligible as an Italian), the year in which he debuts with the first team in the A2 championship. The following season he plays it in Tortona, before being requested by Eurobasket Roma, strongly desired by coach Pilot himself, who also confirms him in the post-covid year, as an under, repaid by an average of 10 points in 24′ of use in the Supercoppa, waned due to a rather reduced engagement in the regular season. In 2021/22 Janko went down to B in Legnano with whom he had a season as a true star: 11 points in 28′ with 50% from. 2, 31% from 3 and 7 rebounds per shoelace.

Cepic himself revealed his feelings: “A new chapter in my life opens, an opportunity I could not miss. I would like to thank the management, the ds and the coach for choosing me as a new member of the yellowonero roster. It is an honor for me to represent the colors of a city that, and I sensed this as an opponent, lives for basketball. I am very ready; I will make myself available trying to bring up, with seriousness and daily work, the name of Cestistica San Severo. See you at the Palasport, come on Neri!”
