Flaccadori’s renewal official

Diego Flaccadori will be a Trento player for the next two seasons as well: the Bergamasque outside player’s two-year agreement with Dolomiti Energia Trentino, which is starting over with one of its most representative men in recent years, is official.

“Flacca” in August will thus open his seventh season at L’Aquila, a club that picked him up as soon as he was 18 from Treviglio: between Serie A, EuroCup and national cups Diego has been on the court with the bianconera jersey in 272 official games, playing 5,594 minutes. He scored 2,231 points, captured 584 rebounds and dished out 478 assists, sending 235 triples on target.

Bianconeri heart, in short: after a two-season interlude at Bayern Munich between 2019 and 2021, the class of ’96 returned to Dolomiti Energia as a leader and dragger: last year he was the Bianconeri’s best in points scored (13.1 average between the league and EuroCup in addition to 3.5 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.1 steals), updating his personal records for points scored and rating (30 points and 38 rating in the home win against Brindisi).

The Bergamsque guard spoke after the renewal with the bianconero club was made official: “I am extremely happy to continue wearing the Dolomiti Energia jersey: the club ‘waited’ for me in these weeks when my future was being outlined, I feel happy and proud to be able to be part of this new chapter in the club’s history. I breathe great enthusiasm and energy in the environment of Aquila Basket, in a summer of great changes, there is a new air full of anticipation and desire to start again at the top. I look forward to getting back on the court in front of our fans and facing the many challenges that await us in the league and EuroCup.”
