F1, Max Verstappen dampens enthusiasm
Third pole position of the year
Max Verstappen made the most of qualifying for the Austrian GP. But the weekend is special given the many points up for grabs between Saturday’s Sprint and Sunday’s race. The third pole of the year does not leave the Red Bull Dutchman quiet.
These are his words, “With a long break it is never easy, the tires are difficult to bring up to temperature. This is a challenging track, there are not so many corners but they are complex,” Verstappen explained after qualifying. I am happy with the pole, but I know that on Saturday and Sunday the points will be made.”
The world champion is already focused on the Sprint: “We have a great car and usually qualifying is not our strong point – so Verstappen who then spoke about the fans -. They are incredible, crazy to see so much orange, the support I get here gives me a smile.”
