In the bowl of the Adjarabet Arena in Batumi, made incandescent by 20,000 Georgian fans who flocked to support their national team, Italy ended its summer tour and season beaten 28-19 by Georgia in the third test-match played between the two countries.
Uncertain on the high balls, which were very costly for the final result, Italy was not enough to withstand the physical impact of a Georgia determined at all costs to prove its worth against a Tier 1 opponent, dragged to a historic success by its excited and emotional supporters.
