Daniele Conti leaves: it’s controversy

Daniele Conti has resigned and is no longer the technical coordinator of Cagliari’s Primavera team. This was announced by the club itself: “Cagliari Calcio announces that Daniele Conti yesterday resigned as Technical Coordinator of the Primavera.”

“Since 2016, after wearing the Cagliari shirt for 16 years, Conti has joined the Technical Area of the club. His human qualities, combined with experience and strong sense of belonging to the Rossoblù colors have been a valuable resource, particularly in the discovery, growth and enhancement of young people, who have seen in him an authentic guide. The Club therefore regretfully welcomes his resignation, which was sudden and dictated by personal reasons, and in expressing heartfelt thanks to him for all he has done over the years, hopes to be able to work together again in the future.”

Fans of the Sardinian club did not take it very well and on social media vented “We mess up our lives with our own hands: where there are problems to be solved, we mess up,” wrote the Forza Cagliari account. “Always honor the Captain, this is no longer a Cagliari in which I can believe and recognize myself,” Nicola tweeted.
