Tour, Pogacar barely stays in yellow: “Now it’s brutal”
Pogacar remains leader by 11 seconds, but now come difficult days.
Tadej Pogacar remained yellow jersey by 11 seconds after stage 10 of the Tour de France. In the finale of a relatively quiet stage for him, the two-time Grande Boucle winner managed to make up ground on the breakaway rider Lennard Kamna, who was on the verge of surprisingly taking the race leader’s jersey.
“In the end we were narrowly saved, happy to still be in the yellow jersey. Tomorrow in the Alps there will be a lot of Cote to climb, the last climb will be brutal,” he said after the stage.
The Covid continues to be scary, after another teammate Bennett’s positivity: “Hard to live this situation, right they respect the rules and you continue to live in the bubble. It’s not easy for us, but you have to do this,” are the words reported by Oasport.
