Inter, Alexis Sanchez departing: here’s what’s missing
He can leave with a severance package
Alexis Sanchez is not in Ferrara with his teammates for Inter’s friendly against Monaco. The Chilean striker is now out of the technical plans of coach Simone Inzaghi and the Nerazzurri club.
Inter would like to get rid of Sanchez soon, especially for his large seven-million-a-season salary. However, the Chilean’s contract will expire in a year, so it could come down to separation via severance pay, as happened recently with Arturo Vidal who went to Flamengo.
Sanchez has turned down several offers so far from South America and European leagues that are not considered top. The Chilean wants to play in a major tournament and wait for the right proposal. He has already turned down a four million severance package to leave Inter.
