Antonio Faravelli also makes inroads in Varese

Antonio Faravelli reaffirmed his presence in the world of golf by participating as a sponsor in the tenth leg of the GolfAroundTour 2022 charity circuit held at the Varese Golf Club. The golfing winemaker from Montù Beccaria, Pavia, did so with Golf and Wine 1895, a brand of Cantine Vitea.

GolfAroundTour (who through Faravelli gave us the photo) is a circuit of PRO-AMs dedicated to solidarity, which since 2011 has raised funds for various nonprofits, and currently supports Cesvi Foundation, which is engaged not only domestically, but also abroad and is also at the forefront in bringing aid to the war-stricken population in Ukraine.

Faravelli’s winery produces wines typical of the area such as Bonarda, Barbera, Riesling, Pinot Noir and special wines such as our Podere San Carlo Chardonnay and Buttafuoco Ca’ del Cervo, a still red wine resulting from the vinification of different grapes in set percentages, including Vespolina grapes, an indigenous grape found in only a few municipalities in Italy. Production, in its different types, reaches 90 thousand bottles per year.

“I have loved golf for many years, and in 2007, after becoming a supplier for a friend’s club, I had the idea of creating a label that would fully conform to the environment, representing the game at the moment when the ball is about to begin its journey to the hole,” Faravelli said.
