John McEnroe, sensational move for Novak Djokovic
The former world number one hopes Nonvak Djokovic will participate in the Us Open.
Currently, the chances of Novak Djokovic’s participation in the Us Open are slim to none. A vaccination is still required to enter the U.S., which the Serbian tennis player freshly won Wimbledon has no intention of doing. However, Nole has received an important assist in recent days from former world number one John McEnroe, who told Tennis365: “I hope with all my heart that he makes the US Open. Somebody find a way to get him in, we need a champion like him at Flushing Meadows,” is the star legend’s plea.
“Novak Djokovic does not get all the credit he deserves, but there is no doubt that he is one of the best ever. I don’t agree with his choice not to vaccinate, but I respect it. He is in perfect health and carefully evaluates every substance that ends up in his system,” McEnroe continued. “It is really unfortunate that he has been put in a bad light by the media. I hope there is no repeat of what happened in Australia, it was a debacle for everyone.”
