Tadej Pogacar wants the yellow jersey back and asks Jonas Vingegaard for it
Pogacar ready to make a comeback
Winner of stage 17 of the Tour de France in Peyragudes, but still second in the general classification, Slovenian Tadej Pogacar remains convinced he can still surprise Jonas Vingegaard in the coming days.
“Mikkel Bjerg and Brandon McNulty were very good. We will still be able to attack in the coming days and I will try to catch up on Thursday, as we were able to make Vingegaard a little doubtful. So far he’s shown he’s very strong and you don’t beat someone like that easily, so we’ll see if he shows signs of weakness so we can attack him again. If we hadn’t lost riders like Rafal Majka, Marc Soler or George Bennett, my team would be even stronger in these mountain stages,” points out the UAE Team Emirates ace.
