Andrew Smith in Ferrara

Andrew Smith will be Kleb Basket’s new starting center for the 2022/2023 season. The class of ’92 arrives in Ferrara from Sweden where, last season, he reached the playoffs with BC Lulea, averaging 10.3 points, 7.9 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 2 stoppages per game.

A center with great athletic skills, explosive and able to draw defenders and then pass the ball. A good defender, he has the timing to make the stops.

These are the words of the American: “I am excited to start a new season in Ferrara, I feel gratitude for this new opportunity as a professional player. This is a new experience for me and my family, so I want to learn as much as possible from coach Spiro Leka and adapt to the style of the league as quickly as possible. On the court I like to bring energy with blocks and dunks, but I can also do a little bit of everything on the offensive end, helping other players and stretching the court with my shooting.”
