Friday was a dream Friday for Ferrari, which came out on top in France: the first free practice session saw Charles Leclerc ahead of everyone, while the second one rewarded Carlos Sainz. The Spaniard, however, will be penalized ten positions on the grid for replacing the ECU for the third time this season.
In the second free practice the Ferrari duo crossed the line ahead of Verstappen, fourth Russell and fifth Hamilton. Badly Latifi and Schumacher, last and second-to-last, respectively.
