Napoli wants a former Juventus man
David Ospina’s farewell forces Napoli to intervene in the market to sign a goalkeeper. Giuntoli has sounded out several profiles in recent weeks but in pole is Neto, former Juventus and Fiorentina.
The Brazilian, who arrived at Barcelona from Valencia in 2019, does not fit Xavi’s plans, who has decided not to take him to the United States with the rest of the team. Last season, the 1989 class collected just 4 appearances (3 in the league and 1 in the Cup) and conceded 5 goals.
Neto, who blossomed at Athletico Paranaense, came to Italy in 2011 through Fiorentina, which sold him to Juventus four years later. In 2017 the Bianconeri sold him to Valencia, then he defended Barcelona’s goal. His contract with the blaugrana will expire in 2023.
