MotoGp, Fabio Quartararo imitates Valentino Rossi
MotoGp champion Quartararo: “I want to drive an F1”
The MotoGP is still on break, and so Fabio Quartararo showed up in the Paul Ricard paddock for the French Formula 1 Grand Prix. The Frenchman from Yamaha, the reigning world champion and leader of this MotoGp championship, even had his picture taken sitting in the Mercedes cockpit. And by the end of the year, Quartararo might get into that car to actually drive it. El Diablo had already tried the Brackley team’s simulator last season.
“We are working to be able to get into a Formula 1 at the end of the year,” Quartararo revealed to Dazn. “F1 is very different from MotoGp, but I like it a lot. According to Sky Sports Uk, it is even already confirmed that El Diablo “will board the Mercedes at the end of the season.” He will certainly hope to do so as a two-time MotoGp world champion. The French driver is following in the footsteps of his idol Valentino Rossi, who has tested Ferrari’s single-seater several times in the past and also that of the Silver Arrows in 2019 as part of the “challenge” with Lewis Hamilton.
