Salernitana president Danilo Iervolino is serious about Dries Mertens, according to Repubblica writes. The president of the Campani has put up €3 million net per season for a one-year contract, with an option for the following season. The club’s dream would be to have an attacking duo composed of Piatek, now close to wearing the granata jersey, and Mertens, who has been released after nine years at Napoli.
The Belgian, however, is waiting for other offers, such as the one from Lazio. The class of ’87 striker is taking time to decide his future after his long adventure with the Azzurri.
