The final between Lorenzo Musetti and Carlos Alcaraz set a record
Everyone is crazy about Lorenzo Musetti: the new Italian tennis talent is recording even higher numbers on TV than Jannik Sinner and Matteo Berrettini. The Carrara tennis player’s Hamburg final against Spanish champion Carlos Alcaraz recorded on Supertennis a peak of 4.68 percent share, never reached in the past by the official channel of the Italian Tennis Federation.
Nearly half a million average viewers followed the match, which allowed Musetti to win his first victory on the ATP circuit at the expense of the higher-ranked Murcia tennis player. Musetti thanks to this victory also reached his best ranking, climbing up to 31st place.
