Paolo Bertolucci extols Jannik Sinner and Lorenzo Musetti
The words of Paolo Bertolucci
Paolo Bertolucci in Corriere della Sera took stock of Italian tennis: “Musetti along with Sinner is among the youngsters who should have their say in the next ten years. They have all the qualities to emerge.”
“Musetti was a bit further behind but this victory in Hamburg was very important for confidence. He beat another young level player in an exciting match, he didn’t get down after he lost the second test. It was a test of maturity, because there was no doubt about his talent. He needs to work on the physical aspect. To be able to fight at the highest level you need that. He is very young but he has 2-3 years ahead of him where he will have to mature.”
“Sinner has a game more devoted to regularity even though he always tries to command the exchange, while Musetti has more inventiveness, also more solutions and tactical weapons but he does not have the South Tyrolean’s mental strength and regularity. They are young, talented, with different characteristics and this however makes Italy a complete team. And then we have Berrettini and Sonego. With them we have a great group.”
