Adriano Panatta, recommendations to Jannik Sinner and Lorenzo Musetti
“Both Sinner and Musetti need to strengthen themselves physically,” Adriano Panatta’s words.
Adriano Panatta complimented Lorenzo Musetti in an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport after his victory against Alcaraz and winning his first career Atp tournament: “He plays really well and is talented. Generally, such young players get lost and lose the third easily. Instead, Lorenzo showed that he already has a good character, that’s definitely the aspect I liked the most.”
The former Italian tennis player pointed out the merits and shortcomings of the Carrara athlete: “He has more solutions because he has hand and talent, so during the match he can do things that you normally don’t see, starting with backhand accelerations. But he will have to improve a little bit in everything. Technically I would start with the serve, he uses the kick serve a lot which is almost between a first and second ball.”
Fundamental to strengthen at the physical level, as does the current number one Italian tennis player, Jannik Sinner: “Now he has to strengthen at the physical level, as does Sinner.” With the Berrettini-Sinner-Musetti trio, Italy can dream in the Davis Cup: “In my opinion we have the strongest team ever right now. Maybe we only have some problems left in doubles. But I really don’t like this new Davis Cup formula, it’s something else than in the past, it’s just business.”
