Milan puts on a show, goleada in Austria and good feelings
Pioli’s Milan beat Wolfsberger 5-0, new signing Adli also shines
Glimpses of real Milan: Stefano Pioli’s team beat Austrian side Wolfsberger 5-0 in Klagenfurt in the fourth pre-season friendly ahead of the league start. A convincing performance for the Rossoneri, who unlocked the result in the first half thanks to goals from Leao in the 39th minute (great throw in from Calabria) and Rebic in the 42nd minute, a tap-in on an assist from a convincing Adli.
Very well the Kalulu-Tomori defensive duo, guizzling Hernandez on the flank. In the second half, the Diavolo rounded off the result with Messias in the 57th minute served by the unleashed Hernandez, Adli in the 60th minute, crowning his fine performance in the scrum after an initial shot by Saelemaekers, and Gabbia in the 66th minute, header off a cross from Ballo-Touré.
Ahead of more probing tests, Milan convinces and Yacine Adli, already well integrated into Pioli’s schemes, also shines. The next friendly is scheduled for July 31 against Marseille.
