F1, Lewis Hamilton comes out of the closet after Sebastian Vettel’s announcement
Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton: “I’m not thinking about retirement, but how to win another championship”
No retirement for Lewis Hamilton. After Sebastian Vettel’s announcement that he will leave F1 at the end of the season, the seven-time world champion in an interview with the Evening Standard assured that he will not follow the example of the German, two years younger than him.
“How will I feel when Vettel leaves and then Fernando Alonso? He thought I will be the oldest,” the Englishman explained. “But in truth, his announcement did not make me think about a farewell. I’m just thinking about how I can improve this car, what is the next step to bring this team back to win and what is the roadmap to win another championship.”
