Red Bull has decided to change the power units of both drivers

Red Bull has decided to change the engines of Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez just hours before the Hungarian Grand Prix. The Austrian team’s decision came after the Dutch driver’s difficulties in Saturday’s qualifying (he will start tenth). The team thus chose to bring forward the use of the third power unit of the season, and so did the other driver Sergio Perez, who will start from 11th place. Neither driver will suffer penalties.

In addition to the two Red Bulls, another Honda-powered driver, Alpha Tauri’s Pierre Gasly, will also change power units: the Frenchman will be penalized because it is the fourth unit fitted, and will therefore start from 20th position.
