F1 Red Bull, Max Verstappen blurts out: ‘Treated like an amateur’
Max Verstappen lashes out at F1 race management for attitudes in recent months
On the sidelines of the Hungarian Grand Prix weekend, world champion Max Verstappen took some pebbles off his shoes toward Formula 1 race management, fueling a discussion that has been going on since the beginning of the year. So many drivers have complained about weekend management, from the track limits case to the evaluation of incidents.
“We as drivers always want to help, but we are not listened to,” the Red Bull driver blurted out to De Telegraaf. “It is extremely frustrating. I don’t want to argue with the stewards, but to give them advice. The problem is that they don’t seem to care, it’s as if they see us as amateurs, and that’s wrong.”
