F1, Ferrari’s intention is clear
Leclerc is 80 points behind Verstappen
The Hungarian Grand Prix did not go as hoped in the Ferrari house. The ambition was a one-two finish, but instead came a fourth and sixth place.
But above all, for the umpteenth time, there was no shortage of strategy errors in the Rossa’s pits, especially with Charles Leclerc. The Monegasque is now 80 points behind Max Verstappen in the drivers’ championship, while in the constructors’ championship Ferrari trails Red Bull by 97 lengths. After the summer break there will be the last nine races of the year.
CEO Benedetto Vigna, during the presentation of Ferrari’s second quarter 2022 accounts, made a comment about the team: “Formula 1 is in our DNA – his words. We have to pay attention to all the details, it is a continuous opportunity to learn, and we continue to fight for the title.”
