Brindisi, a globetrotter arrives to reinforce wing department

Brindisi signs Dikembe Dixson

New Basket Brindisi announced on Sunday the signing of Dikembe Dixson, a 201-cm American forward who split his time between the Luxembourg and Swiss leagues last season.

A 2016 Horizon League Freshman of the Year averaging 19.8 points and 7.3 rebounds, he enjoyed three standout years at the University of Illinois at Chicago at 17.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.3 steals per game. Seasons in the G-League at the Capital City Go-Go’s and Windy-City Bulls preview the various experiences he has accumulated in recent years outside U.S. borders in Lebanon, Brazil, Macedonia, Luxembourg and Switzerland.

In 2021/22, he started the season at Dudelange (25.7 pts. average in Total League Luxembourg) before moving in November to Monthey (16.8 pts, 5.7 rmb in the Switzerland League).
