Bocconcelli says yes to OraSì

OraSì Basket Ravenna announced that it has reached an agreement for next season with Pietro Bocconcelli, a 194 cm by 85 kg guard from Virtus Padova.

Born in Pesaro on May 4, 1998, Bocconcelli grew up in Victoria Libertas Pesaro with whom he reached the national finals several times at youth level and with whom he also made his Serie A debut in 2017. In 2018 he moved to Serie B at Sangiorgese Basket with whom he also played the following year, averaging 13.5 points and 3 rebounds per game with 34 percent shooting from three. In the last two seasons he wears, again in Serie B, the jersey of Virtus Padova where last season he traveled at an average of 11.2 points and 2.6 rebounds per game.

“When the call from Ravenna came, it didn’t take me long to decide,” comments the new Giallorossi acquisition, “I immediately found it a very good opportunity after so many years in Serie B, coming at the right time from a club that has always done well. I consider myself a versatile player, I like to make myself useful in every area of the court, I love shooting from outside as well as penetrating to the iron. Obviously in this category the level rises and I will have to try to do as best I can all the things the team needs and I hope to grow from the comparison with high-profile players. For me it is a great stimulus to be here, I know that Ravenna is a very hot square and I can’t wait to start.”
