Simone Inzaghi’s words.

Simone Inzaghi is not worried ahead of the league opener: “We have done a good job since July 6. Lots of matches, many of them very challenging but that was what we wanted: to engage against teams that are further ahead on a physical level. We were afraid of losing some players at the physical level, but in the end only D’Ambrosio will be out, although he wanted to be there at all costs. He will be resting until Monday.”

“Brozovic? He trained regularly and will be in the game. On the market, the team is the one agreed with the club. We lack a central player to replace Ranocchia, the club is working on it and I think I don’t have to talk about it anymore because the inbound and outbound market is closed.”

Filling in on Lukaku: “He is doing well, he has been stationary for a year. I am very happy with him, with Dzeko, Lautaro and Correa. We decided to bet on them.”
