Inter, Beppe Marotta is adamant about defense reinforcement
The Nerazzurri executive: “A large team is needed for the double commitment.”
On the sidelines of the first day of the league match at Lecce’s field, Inter executive Beppe Marotta spoke to ‘Sky Sport’ about, among other things, market targets between now and the end of the summer session.
“We managers,” he said, “have an obligation to set up a competitive team for the goals I mentioned earlier. This is a little bit of the effort we have to make, there are still 15 days left. I can say that there will definitely be no revolutions.”
Simone Inzaghi, in his press conference, had spoken about the need for a reinforcement in defense. Marotta also confirmed how the management is moving in that direction: “There are still fifteen days of the market, in which there can still be transfers. It is normal that in order to complete the squad we have to find a replacement for Ranocchia, because we must not forget that this is an abnormal season. In the space of three months we play 15 league games and six Champions League games. So the squad has to be not only competitive but also numerous.”
