F1, Stefano Domenicali is furious: “What idiots.”
F1 CEO Domenicali explains that there will be no more room for fans to misbehave
Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali explained in an interview with Sky Sport that the circus is ready to crack down on fans who misbehave during Grand Prix. At the Red Bull Ring in Austria, and also in Hungary, there was no shortage of unpleasant incidents, such as verbal insults and merchandising of the burned rival driver (in this case Lewis Hamilton).
Now it will be zero tolerance: “There is no discussion about this, there will be no compromise, no room for these idiots. As you can see in the stands, there are many children and families, this is the F1 we want to see. There is no room for these idiots. If anyone misbehaves, the reaction will be very strong.”
