Andrea Dovizioso talks about Marc Marquez and doesn’t rule out twists and turns
Yamaha centaur Dovizioso on social traced his career and confessed, “I got offers.”
Yamaha centaur Andrea Dovizioso in an interview on social WithU talked about his early farewell to racing after Misano: “After the retirement announcement I feel more relaxed, but I especially like the reaction of others, because when a rider decides to retire everyone looks at how good he did, without pointing fingers and analyzing the negative things.”
On the best moment of his career: “The year he won the 2004 World Championship. I was 18 years old, you start touring Europe, you feel super cool, overpowering, it’s not the real thing, but you feel new emotions…. The challenges with Marc Marquez? In the three years I finished 2nd with Ducati, they were spectacular but stressful years. If you play it against Marquez it’s stressful, the performance there had to come, however, it was not easy to manage the year.”
Dovizioso in any case does not rule out twists and turns in the future: “At the moment I have no definitive program. Being used to playing certain positions this year has been tough, mentally it becomes stressful and so I need a bit of a break. I’ve already received some offers and I’m glad, I’m not closing the doors to anyone, anything is possible.”
