Franco Morbidelli spoke about Yamaha’s choices in 2021 that penalized him: “I was very unlucky, but Valentino Rossi deserved to close with the new bike.”

Yamaha centaur Franco Morbidelli, who has been going through a major crisis in MotoGp for a year now, in an interview with Gpone.com returned to talk about the Japanese team’s choices in 2021, when as vice world champion he was not given the latest version of the Yamaha. “The more time passes before I make the jump to the new bike, the worse it is, this has been one of the factors that is making my growth process slow now.”

The Japanese team gave precedence to Valentino Rossi, in the final year of his career: “It was right for Valentino to end up with the best bike, for everything he has done and for what he represents. The truth is that I was just very unlucky, in a year when the world came to a standstill so many things came between me and the new bike, but I never thought for one moment about leaving Yamaha, I love it here so much.”
