Nico Mannion is explosive again: the reasons for the resurgence
The playmaker has approached the new season at its best
Against the Czech Republic, the real Mannion was seen: 20 points in 22 minutes of play and a decidedly aggressive approach to the game. Exactly what everyone expects from the talented point guard in Virtus Bologna’s employ (at least for the moment).
Mannion appeared different, especially physically. Over the summer, the point guard has been working hard in the gym and, together with personal trainer Peterson, has put on different muscle mass that is coming in handy on the court. With a Mannion in this condition, the national team’s upcoming commitments are less scary (2023 World Cup qualifying competitions and European Championships).
