Marc Marquez is about to return to the track, and Honda is eagerly awaiting him after months of nightmares. The Catalan centaur will be in the saddle Tuesday for testing in Misano, and if he has good feelings he will try to return as early as Aragon, Sept. 18.

However, his brother Alex Marquez in an interview with Sport.es warned Honda: Marc will not be enough to lift a situation that seems desperate. “It doesn’t work like that, Marc won’t get here and suddenly Honda will win again, absolutely not! Marc’s advice will help Honda, yes, but Honda’s problem is not one of the riders. He can do magic, but a project like Honda’s cannot be based on the magic of one rider.”

For the younger Marquez, it is a problem of philosophy, which goes beyond the value of the rider: “Honda has to change its mentality. The European factories and their way of working have changed things in MotoGP. Ducati, Aprilia and KTM have revolutionized MotoGP, especially working hard with their test teams on all kinds of circuits. I think now those factories are one step ahead of Honda.”
