In the final, the African will face world number one Iga Swiatek

With a near-perfect match – with the only blemish of a low first serve percentage on court, especially in the second set – Ons Jabeur dominated Caroline Garcia, reaching her first US Open final, second consecutive final at a Slam.

The score speaks for itself: 6-1 6-3 for the Tunisian athlete, who becomes the first North African, Arab and Tunisian player to reach the last act of the New York tournament. After losing the Wimbledon final to Rybakina, Jabeur will now try to enter the legend against Iga Swiatek, her world number one opponent in the final at Flushing Meadows.

The Pole had to suffer not a little to get rid of Aryna Sabalenka, who wasted many chances during the match, prevailing in the third set with a final score of 3-6 6-1 6-4. The world tennis number one still appeared far from her best form, but it was enough to get the better of an opponent who felt the pressure of the stakes in no small measure.
