Binotto had his say at a press conference

Mattia Binotto spoke at the press conference dedicated to the team principals of the ten F1 teams on the eve of one of the most important Sundays of the season, that of the Italian Grand Prix at the Monza circuit.

Among the topics addressed was also one related to the words of John Elkann, who in an interview with ‘La Gazzetta dello Sport’ spoke of “too many mistakes,” while promoting the work of the team in general and Binotto himself. Who, during the press conference, said, “The interview confirms what we already knew inside Ferrari. The president’s words are not a surprise to those of us who work in the team: he and I have a constant relationship, we are always in touch, we discuss what we do. His interest in our work is continuous.”

Binotto also commented on Elkann’s prediction that the title will not return to Maranello until 2026, when there will be new rules at the engine level: “The goal is certainly to win before that date. Already this year we have grown a lot and become competitive again, certainly there are areas that need further improvement and fewer mistakes. To win the World Championship will perhaps take some time, but if the growth is steady it won’t even take much.”
