Lewis Hamilton extols Ferrari at Silverstone: "Exciting"

Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari are finally starting to get into gear together, right on the home weekend for the seven-time world champion. Indeed, the Cavallino’s Englishman treated himself to a friday’s free practice as a big star at Silverstone, and ahead of Sunday’s British Grand Prix he let loose with words of enthusiasm unheard of since he started driving the SF-25.
“This day was exciting – Hamilton told the press present at Silverstone with the engines off -Driving a Ferrari at Silverstone for the first time is fantastic, then I felt comfortable in both sessions. In FP2, moreover, I found a little bit of traffic on my flying lap, so it could be even better than that”.
Hamilton then reiterated his love for Silverstone, a circuit where he has won as many as nine times: a record number in the entire history of Formula 1 by any driver on any circuit. “This is the most beautiful track in the world, definitely my favorite one” said Ferrari’s Englishman.
First in the morning and third in the afternoon, but within striking distance of Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc who preceded him, Hamilton is dreaming of an encore of his historic victory a year ago at the wheel of Mercedes. A result that would allow him not only to break the longest fast from the podium of his entire career, but also to achieve an unthinkable ’tenth” at Silverstone. “It’s always special here, the atmosphere is incredible and it”s only Friday,” he commented.
