Marc Marquez, comes the singular admission of Stefan Bradl
German returns to relationship with now former rival
The protagonist of the latest episode, in order of time, of ‘Behind The Dream,’ the mini-documentary in episodes produced by Honda HRC and dedicated to the stable itself, Stefan Bradl did not hide talking about his relationship with Marc Marquez, a rider that the German himself is replacing this season given the long period of absence due to injury.
“I was very jealous of Marc when he came to MotoGp,” Bradl said, “We spoke little because we were great rivals. Against him I won the title in Moto2, so I wanted to beat him, but he was faster. I couldn’t find an answer to the question, ‘How can I be faster? What does this guy have more than me?’ Accepting such a situation was hard, very hard.”
Then a singular admission: “I always had great respect for him, because he is incredibly talented, but he was faster than me and I hated him. He destroyed me.”
On the 2022 World Championship, Bradl added, “Replacing Marc is never easy. He’s a world champion, he’s had a lot of success with this team. On the one hand I feel privileged, but on the other hand it’s a burden on my shoulders.”
