F1, Carlos Sainz has a big fear heading into Singapore
After the recent growth, new concerns come to Maranello.
Carlos Sainz is back from a recovery phase with his Ferrari, after the summer had seen the Prancing Horse in great difficulty against Max Verstappen’s Red Bull, but also in those with Mercedes. But now, ahead of the Singapore Grand Prix, the Spaniard confesses to having new fears from a technical point of view.
“I think it could be the toughest race of the whole season,” Sainz in fact revealed to the microphones of ‘RaceFans.net,’ “It could be so from both a physical and psychological point of view. In fact, the track has bumps, jumps and great heat. This is precisely why we may have to struggle with porpoising again.”
Sainz fears that there may also be problems on Ferrari’s strong point, qualifying. “Putting together a competitive lap on Saturday will be a colossal challenge on its own. Then we will have to be consistent in the race, because we will face a huge amount of rebounds,” is the Spaniard’s analysis.
