Former Alfa Romeo very diplomatic: “Surely we are in the Top 10.”

The first tests of the new Formula 1 season showed a very competitive Red Bull. Ferrari has also shown that it is very strong with Leclerc and Sainz finishing in the top 10 on both of the first two days. However, the new team principal of the Prancing Horse did not want to give too much weight to the results obtained on these two days. On the eve of the last day of testing, in fact, the former Alfa Romeo was asked at F1’s microphones and maintained a very diplomatic and humble attitude regarding the ambitions of the Maranello stable ahead of next week’s Bahrain Grand Prix.

“So far everything has gone well. Having a picture of the balance of power is very difficult, because we are a bit in the dark compared to the others. We have a lot of room for improvement, which we will already try to achieve on this test day. Looking ahead to the first race, for sure we are in the top 10. However, it is difficult to make predictions because we do not know the actual level of competitiveness of our opponents,” these are the words of the French manager.
