Farewell to Slim Borgudd
Slim Borgudd, a driver who also raced in Formula 1 in his career but dabbled in various categories, also competing in truck driving, has died.
A multifaceted character, the Swede: he played drums and well, so much so that he collaborated with Abba. And the famous Scandinavian band, which held him in such high esteem, as a token of gratitude sponsored ATS, the German racing stable with which Borgudd won his only point in his Formula 1 career, at Silverstone in the 1981 British Grand Prix.
Borgudd was born in 1946 in Borgholm, on the island of Oland.
