Monza, historic victory in A against Juve. Allegri betrayed by Di Maria
Allegri’s Bianconeri were narrowly beaten by Monza in their first league win.
Monza celebrates its first historic victory in Serie A, and the victim is an illustrious one: Juventus. The brianzoli’s new coach Raffaele Palladino began his experience on the biancorossa bench as best he could: his team crushed Allegri’s Bianconeri 1-0, in their first league defeat.
Gytkjaer’s goal in the 74th minute, pawing an assist from Ciurria, sank Juve, which confirmed its negative moment (the Bianconeri have not won since August). Allegri’s team, whose bench is increasingly shaky, was down 10 from the 40th minute of the first half when Di Maria was sent off for elbowing Izzo. In the standings Juve eighth on 10 points, Monza 18th on 4.
In the afternoon’s other results, Lazio routed Cremona 4-0 with a brace from Immobile and goals from Pedro and Milinkovic-Savic, while Fiorentina crushed Verona 2-0 at home thanks to Ikone and Gonzalez.
