MotoGp, Marc Marquez ready to stop again
Marc Marquez looks ahead to Friday’s free practice with some anxiety
Honda centaur Marc Marquez on the eve of the three-day MotoGp in Japan explained that the Motegi track could put a strain on his physique: “Aragon for me physically has been difficult. Testing is one thing, the intensity of a race weekend is different. Motegi will be the first time I will stress my right arm, with long braking just to the right. Here on Sunday it could be a problem, we will understand from PL1. Only after free practice will I understand if I can physically sustain the Grand Prix.”
The goal is to grow and grind miles, and what happened in Aragon certainly didn’t help: “I only did one lap. I’m very disappointed because I felt ready, I think I would have been able to manage the tires and keep the pace over the distance. I had bad luck but good luck because we were lucky that nothing happened. There might be different weather conditions, Motegi is an important race. We will continue to work toward 2023.”
