Marc Marquez’s brother: “I was in the wrong place at the wrong time.”

Alex Marquez to Motorsport’s microphones bid farewell to Honda after a disastrous season: “From the beginning, from the first lap, we had problems with the bike overheating, I don’t know why. The engine brake was not working properly, and the bike itself is already difficult, with that problem even more so, I couldn’t overtake or attack,” he said after the Valencia race.

“I finished the race for the team, the bike was bad but I wanted to finish for them. I remain calm, I always gave 100 percent and I have nothing to reproach myself with.” Marquez is looking forward to getting on the Ducati: “I never felt productive in Honda, I was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I don’t regret the decision I made. There were many months without Marc but I never felt useful.”

And again, “In Honda they are sleeping, the general organization of Honda has to change. Now I go to the Gresini team, they did a great job with Enea Bastianini and I hope to do just as well.”
